The Rothesay Netherwood Riverhawks gave the home crowd at the 32nd Annual Riverboat Classic a small sample of the level of competition in the National Preparatory Association (NPA). The size, quickness and aggressive style of play of RNS’s starting five forced the Crusaders to turn the ball over in transition and into many contested shots even when they we able to break the press.

The Riverhawks jumped out to a quick 24-12 1st quarter advantage led by sophomore point guard Kellen Tynes who had 11 points in the quarter.  The 2nd quarter was much the same with the Riverhawks increasing their lead to 46-19 at the half. The Crusaders finally found their shooting rhyme after the half time break, with both teams scoring 18 points in the 3rd. The Riverhawks won the 4th by 6 for a final score of 81-45.
