- Koichi Sahara with 11 points
Leaders for Sussex Were:
- Jaxson Wark with 21 points
- George Walker with 19 points
The win keeps KVHS in the hunt for first place as they move to 9-1 in league play, 17-8 overall. Rothesay remains in first place at 10-1.
KVHS Player of the Game
Throughout the first half KVHS struggled to find their offensive rhythm for any sustained stretch of time and therefore were unable to make any separation from Sussex. To start the 2nd quarter Liam McKee single-handedly fixed all that by scoring 11 of the teams first 13 points including three straight 3 pointers. His scoring outburst pushed the Blue Knight’s lead to double digits and Sussex never was able to threaten again.
The Blue Knights have a quick turnaround as they travel to the city on Friday night to play St. Malachy’s Saints for the first meeting of the season between the two teams. Tip-off is 6:00 pm. They finish up league play on January 31 when they host St. Macs in the rematch.
