KVHS Blue Knights defeated an undermanned HVHS team 91-54.

Tonight the KVHS Blue Knights defeated an undermanned HVHS team 91-54.

Unfortunately the trend of slow starts on the current three game home stand continued again with home team falling behind early. The Vikings’ Cole Fitzgerald was able to break the Blue Knight pressure defense which led to several wide open looks for the Harbour View shooters. But as the opening quarter progressed, the pressure defense started to have it’s desire effected on the visitors who were playing without their leading scorer, Alex Underwood. KVHS ended the 1st quarter leading 28-18.

The momentum the home team gain from the closing minutes of the opening quarter continued to build as KVHS won the 2nd quarter by 11, the third by 15 and the final frame by 10.

The Blue Knights had 14 players register points tonight including:

  • Adam Butler with 14 points
  • Owen Arbeau with 11 points
  • Drew Poirier with 11 points

The Vikings were led by:

  • Cole Fitzgerald with 28 points
  • Sam Rice with 11 points
Player of the Game

It seemed Owen Arbeau was everywhere tonight. As he normally does, Owen played smothering on-ball defense, to go along with a great all-around offensive game. He scored 11 points, dished out 3 assists while adding 3 steals.
